Root Canal Treatment (Endodontics)
Root canal treatment, otherwise known as Endodontics, is the treatment of the diseased pulp or nerve of a tooth.
Symptoms that may indicate a diseased nerve, can include intermittent strong pain to the tooth and face, pain that keeps you awake at night, facial swelling or pain with hot or cold foods. A root canal treatment may be the only alternative to tooth extraction and this can be determined after an initial examination.
The Dentists at Best St Dental all have experience in and are qualified to perform root canal treatment. We also have Dr Helen Powis that is able to use a microscope for this treatment to allow much better visibility for difficult cases. However, a complex case may still need referral to a specialist Endodontist. Importantly, you will be kept informed at all times, of what to expect from any treatment we carry out or recommend.
